What is WMAC?

WMAC is both a world-class archery education and training facility, and a community organization dedicated to promoting the sport of archery. As an archery education and training center, we provide tailored instruction and training opportunities for archers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. And, we do so with volunteers, and a not-for-profit organization that is organized to develop and manage programs and our facility to provide quality learning experiences to help our archers become the best they can be.

WMAC's History

In June of 2011, the West Michigan Archery Center was formed.  The WMAC is a 501c3non-profit organization formed from the humble beginnings of two coaches and one pupil. Today, dozens of certified coaches have trained hundreds of archers, fulfilling our mission to promote archery and sportsmanship.

The WMAC group’s dedication to archery led to grant awards from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, the Easton Foundations, the Frey and Consumers Energy Foundations, Mary Free Bed, and many other prestigious donors. West Michigan was rewarded with a state of the art shooting center.

Staffed 100% by volunteers, the WMAC now provides a range of programs for developing archers, from beginners and casual shooters, hunters and 3-D enthusiasts, archers with disabilities, and Olympic hopefuls.
